The British public have always treated its politicians with disdain and the latest flat refurbishment scandal by Prime Minster Boris Johnson has caused a huge amount of public and media outcry.
Accusations of political donations monies used, the inappropriate timing and maybe even an illegal process are all swirling around Boris’ head.
His very clear answer is NO!
He had used his own money to refurbish the flat and allegedly everything was done within the rules. That might well be but the U.K. Electoral Commission have said that ‘there are reasonable grounds to suspect that an offence or offences may have occurred’.
The British public are all about ‘fairness’ and if anyone who is living off the public purse has been found to be in anyway unfair and especially a character like Boris Johnson, who is well portrayed as a buffoon, then they will curse him to hell and back. Even if he has paid for it himself, it still leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.
It’s like the Dominic Cummings affair all over again, although the subject matter is different. Let’s see where this one’s going to end up, in tears no doubt!
