If Facebook isn’t annoying enough, what gets my goat regularly how ugly, unfriendly and impossible their business pages are. Have you ever tried to manage a FB page? My recommendation is that if you never have, then don’t bother, it’s an absolute abomination. It’s possibly the ugliest web page I have witnessed in my life. So below I am sharing a few screenshots for you to marvel at and maybe when you see these in isolation you will potentially see how ugly it is.

Number 1, is a clickable advert to get you to promote your website, of course by placing an ad to promote your website. It’s not helpful, it’s not useful and it’s pretty annoying to be faced with this ad, every time you go to manage your page. Get rid of it Mark, for Pete’s sake!

Number 2, is another clickable ad to get you to go and use the FB business suite. Sounds credible and maybe slightly useful. One major, no huge issue with it is that once there you can’t go back, it won’t allow you to go back to your business page. The UI of the business page is totally different to how FB looks and handles, which means you are having to get used to something completely different yet again. Yuk!

Number 3, is of course the very obvious ad, with a carousel of choice with lots of inviting arrow links and buttons to press and see more, the classic funnel. Why couldn’t the advertising option just be on a drop down from the menu down the left hand-side. Oh, how about that it is, so why do we need it along side our posts? It’s totally ridiculous and dam right ugly!

Number 4 and last is a list of suggested group. Why? why do I need that on my admin page, I am not very inclined to link someone else’s group to my business, how totally stupid, it’s like they have just made up stuff to make sure the real-estate alongside the posts in the admin view are all filled in. The engineers in UI inside Facebook need sacking, they have created some of the worst looking web pages in history. The trouble is because of it’s reach and popularity, they have a stranglehold over all small businesses, who have to put up with their super ugly web pages every single day.
